Death with dignity is illegal and probably a sin,

Forbidden by church and state so there is no way we can win,

But they have it in Quebec where they mostly speak French,

You can sometimes think about this as you sit on a park bench.

Not like Sue Rodriguez who was condemned to die in pain,

With Lou Gehrig's disease; she was treated with distain,

God forbid that you or I should have a problem like this,

Because buckets of ice water won't help in this abyss.

Media moguls seldom let this be mentioned in the press,

They feel that this subject might cause too much stress,

Like some vicious virus disease or the black plague,

And because its seldom mentioned; the subject is very vague.
